Red Lick Valley Press was established in 2020 in conjunction with a grassroots arts project called Coming of Age. Situated in the Knobs and Bluegrass regions of Kentucky, the project fosters outreach to local women over 60 who are interested in writing at all levels of accomplishment – women in this stage of life who had always wanted to write, or were trying to write, who were writing already, or struggling with the confidence even to begin.

Currently entering its fourth year, Coming of Age continues to bring a diverse community of women together for writing practice, craft instruction and mutual support. The two anthologies offered here present selections from the best writings to emerge from the writing community. The project is funded in part by the Kentucky Foundation for Women.passionate about bringing readers the best in literature.
